In the second edition of the Business Sustainability Ranking 2024, organized by Brinca and the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez Business School, Masisa was ranked first in the manufacturing category in terms of sustainability. This ranking, which evaluated 70 leading companies in strategic sectors of the country, reflects the progress and achievements in sustainable practices in the business environment.

This recognition underscores Masisa's commitment and leadership in implementing sustainable practices. In the last three years, the company has adopted key initiatives, such as energy efficiency programs and the reduction of CO2 emissions. In addition, it promotes circular economy projects, and in 2023 participated in the "Fortified Biocompost for Biological Control in Agriculture" project, which involves local communities in waste management and the production of biocompost for agriculture.

"Receiving this award encourages us to continue working responsibly, seeking to generate environmental, social and economic value. This is a recognition of the efforts of our entire team and motivates us to continue improving our practices to contribute to a more sustainable future," said Alejandro Carrillo, Masisa's Corporate General Manager.

The ranking, based on integrated reports to the Financial Market Commission, uses 38 key indicators related to Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) aspects.

With this distinction, Masisa reinforces its commitment to sustainability and its mission to lead in this area by developing innovative solutions that generate a positive environmental, social and economic impact. The company will continue to advance in the adoption of sustainability and ESG practices, and in the promotion of a corporate culture that prioritizes a positive impact on the environment and society.
