In October 2003, Mr. Stephan Schmidheiny, Swiss businessman and founder of Grupo Nueva, created VIVA Trust by donating all the shares of his business group, Grupo Nueva, as well as an investment portfolio.

VIVA Trust owns 100% of the shares of Grupo Nueva.

The dividends that Grupo Nueva gives to VIVA Trust are reinvested in the improvement of Latin American societies, especially through Fundación AVINA. This is a way to contribute to building a virtuous circle between the business world and civil society.
