Environmental Commitment
Innovation for a sustainable future
Our environmental strategy is based on five key areas to minimize impact and protect the environment.
Climate Change: We join the global effort to reduce our carbon footprint and advance climate action. We are aware of the consequences that climate change is generating globally and locally. Seeking to be part of the solution, we have joined the global commitment to reduce our carbon footprint and actively contribute to the advancement of the United Nations' SDG 13 on Climate Action. This commitment is a central part of our sustainability strategy, with concrete actions that reflect our responsibility in this global challenge.
Waste Management: We reduce and reuse waste, complying with all regulations, without generating negative impacts, and reintegrating it into our processes.
Atmospheric Emissions
Atmospheric Emissions: We innovate with advanced technology to minimize our emissions and protect air quality. Masisa's industrial facilities in Chile employ advanced abatement systems. These include electrostatic precipitators, bag filters and gas scrubbers, ensuring minimal impact on the environment.
Circular Economy: In alignment with our commitments to SDG 12 on Responsible Production and Consumption, SDG 6 on Clean Water and Sanitation, and SDG 13 on Climate Action, we are transforming the production and consumption model to achieve efficient management of natural resources. In 2021, we initiated the development of a comprehensive circular economy strategy to drive this change.
Water Efficiency: We implemented strong water governance to improve water use in our operations, promoting sustainable and responsible water resource management.
